There's just something about it being 116 degrees outside that saps every bit of motivation I had to do any sort of household endeavor. Among the projects not getting attention:
* Taking out the trash (a perenneal favorite)
* Getting the newspaper off the driveway
and
* Picking up that piece of litter out on the front lawn that I see from my bedroom window
In related news, there also appears to be a misthrown newspaper from last week in the bushes. This has been noted and commented on by all four roommates, and we are considering our options for removing it. However, as I stated earlier, the unrelenting heat is hampering our efforts. We're thinking about forming a coalition, but we can't find the willing.
It's so hot outside, Ralph doesn't even try to escape anymore. He just kind of looks at the outdoors and then slinks back to his spot on the coffee table.
I need to live where it snows. I've been wanting to live where it nows since I was 10 years old, and it just doesn't seem to be happening.
Damn that in-state tuition.
Boy, it's hot outside. I think I should go make some Iced Tea.
